Activate Windows with your product key
Most online keys activate from the Windows Activation settings page. Start here before using the phone activation flow.
- Open Settings Open the Start menu and click the settings cog.
- Go to Activation Click the Windows isn't activated link at the bottom, or type Activate Windows in the search box.
- Change the product key Click Change product key, Change, or Activate product key. The wording can vary between Windows versions.
- Enter the product key Paste the product key from this page into the Product key field, then click Next.
- Try activation Click Activate. This attempt is needed so Windows shows the phone activation path.
If Windows says the key does not match this edition, install or switch to the edition shown on your order page before trying again.

Enter your product key, send us the Installation ID from the phone activation screen, then enter the Confirmation ID we generate.
Important: follow the guide in order
Activation works best when each step is completed exactly as shown. Do not skip ahead, and keep this page open until you reach the phone activation screen and submit the Installation ID.

Windows phone activation guide
Use this when online activation shows an error and Windows offers Activate by phone.

Open Settings
Open the Start menu and click the settings cog.

Go to Activation
Click the Windows isn't activated link at the bottom, or type Activate Windows in the search box.

Change the product key
Click Change product key, Change, or Activate product key. The wording can vary between Windows versions.

Enter the product key
Paste the product key from this page into the Product key field, then click Next.
Use the product key shown on your private order page. Keep that page open while you complete these steps.

Try activation
Click Activate. This attempt is needed so Windows shows the phone activation path.

Close the error
This error is expected. Click Close and return to the Activation page.

Open phone activation
Click Activate by phone.

Continue from region selection
Any country or region can stay selected. Click Next.

Send the Installation ID
Upload a screenshot of this page or manually enter the Installation ID below. Then click Enter confirmation ID in Windows.

This public guide shows the steps. Your private order page reads the Installation ID screenshot and returns the Confirmation ID.

Enter the Confirmation ID
Enter the CID from our service into boxes A-H, then click Activate Windows.

Activation is done
When you see Thanks, you're all done, click Close. Windows activation is complete.

Use this after your private order page shows the email address and temporary password.

Remove previous Office installations first
Uninstall every existing Microsoft Office installation from your computer.

After uninstalling, restart your computer before running the new Office installer.

Sign in at Office.com
Sign in at office.com with the email and temporary password shown above. Change your password immediately when prompted.

Open the App Launcher
Click the nine-dot App Launcher button at the top left, then click More apps.

Choose Microsoft 365 apps
Click Install apps at the top right, then select Microsoft 365 apps.

Download the Office installer
Click Install Office under Office apps & devices. Run the downloaded file and complete the installation.

Common checks
Before asking for help
Most activation issues come from edition mismatch, skipped phone activation steps, or expired private order links.
Check the Windows edition
A Pro key will not activate Home, and an Office key will not activate Windows. Match the product name on your order page.
Do not close the phone activation window
The Confirmation ID is tied to the Installation ID on that screen. If you restart the flow, send the new Installation ID.
Change the temporary password
After first sign-in, Microsoft may ask you to update the password. Save the new password because Delta cannot see it.
Use the private order link
Your delivery link contains the key, account details, and activation tools. Keep it private and do not share screenshots with the full key.
